Fran and I became friendly about six years ago. She took me all around Pais ( interactivly ) many times. Her smile and laugh uplifted everyone who came  in contact with her. She had such a zest for life .. Her laugh would always bring me up when I was feeling down .  I will miss you my  friend. Rest in peace .

I'm stunned and saddedend by this news.  Fran and I grew up together. I've always had very fond memories of Fran. I was fortunate enough to see her a couple of years ago when I visited Cleveland.

Though I hadn't seen Fran since high school, I remember her vividly as a positive spirit - funny and full of life (or, as my Granny used to say, full of the dickens). I'm so sorry to hear of her passing.

I remember Fran from her days in GGC-MC. A great leader--was a friend to everyone. May her name be for a blessing.

Fran excelled at everything she did!  I reconnected with Fran on Facebook and her posts were so poignant, intellectual and heartfelt. When Fran decided to close her account on the moral issues that Facebook profits from the proliferation of false information and salaciousness, I wasn't surprised because Fran was very ethical, even as a kid!  What a loss in these turbulent times. Rest In Peace.

Fran was so kind, thoughtful and funny. She had very strong sense of right and injustice.   We became friends in GGC-MC.  Though we lost touch for quite awhile, the highlight of the first reunion was seeing her and renewing our friendship...it was as though no time had passed at all.  Right around that same time, she helped me through a challenging time.

She will be missed.

I went to elementary school with Fran. I remeber her sharp sense of humor.  She was a genuinely nice person!

Fran and I have been a team since we were 8 years old.I met her while walking to Canterbury Elementary School. I asked her if we could walk together. Fran answered by saying NO. After that day she changed her mind.   We have had many adventures together over the years. And we had more plans for the future.  A trip to Israel, my daughters wedding.  A trip to Europe we began discussing 20 years ago.  We even had plans for the nursing home room we would share. All of those plans ended a week ago. After getting a Cancer diagnosis two weeks ago, she left me , she left her son , she left all of us. 63 years on this earth was her destiny. Many years too soon.

I don't remember exactly how I became friends with Fran, but I believe we became friendly at some point in 4th or 5th grade.  After that we weren't in the same classrooms.  I remember going to her house a few times after school, and she  introduced me to the show Dark Shadows.  She also taught me a Hungarian saying, which I can still remember today.  She was a joyful, bright, and positive person.  I am sad to think that she was suffering and has now left her family members behind.  May she rest in peace.

What a beautiful tribute to Fran, my dear friend for over 50 years. We laughed together, spoke French together, ma chere Francoise, drank coffee and wine together, sang together and shared life cycle celebrations together. Our past 3 "big" birthday celebrations will help keep Fran alive in my heart and I will miss those future celebrations. While we hadn't lived in the same city since we both went off to college, a trip back to Cleveland almost always included a visit with Fran. To say she will be missed is an understatement. Here's to Fran-let's celebrate her life!
