I keep bees, have around 50 colonies and am not experiencing colony collapse syndrome.
I play in a celtic band called The Boys of the Hock. We play a celtic jam session every Tuesday at Jackie 0's formerly O'Hooleys. Been doing that since 1986.
Haven't had kids but my brothers and sister have more than replaced us so I didn't need to but have had several really great cats over the years.
