I remember Tom from Noble Elementary School. We were in Mrs. Headland's and Mrs. Haugh's classes for 4th through 6th grade. Tom was really smart and a prankster. Mrs. Headland had moved his desk next to hers to keep an eye on him. He had a ton of energy, perhaps he would be diagnosed with ADHD nowadays - who knows! He was funny and Mrs. Headland struggled in keeping back her laughter at times. She also seemed to understand that Tom was struggling to sit still during class, yet she had to minimize disruptions.

The most memorable prank for me was when Tom figured out how to lock the piano keys on the classroom piano. We said the pledge every day, followed by a patriotic song. When a fellow student, Martha G. went to play the song, the keys were locked and we all thought that was hilarious. I recall that Martha took it like a champ, at least I hope that was the case.
