Dear Classmates,
Our 50th reunion is just days away now! We’re looking forward to a whole weekend full of these fun activities:
1. Friday night “Classmates Reception” at Rollhouse begins at 7:00 pm. We rented out the back patios at RollHouse Entertainment in Solon, plus a section of the bar, including the pool table, so we recommend you dress accordingly for outdoors.
Place: RollHouse Solon located at: 33185 Bainbridge Road in Solon
Time: 7 pm - 11 pm
Food/Drink: Includes some appetizers and cake; cash bar; self-pay from menu, if you desire
Activities available at Rollhouse at additional cost: Bowling, Karaoke, Arcade games, Laser Tag, Escape Room. Don’t forget you can preregister if you are interested in any of these since they might get closed out.
**Solon has road closures on Solon Rd. near the Bainbridge Rd. intersection, so you cannot get entry to Bainbridge from Solon Rd. If you are traveling from Rte. 422 East, you should exit at Harper Rd. Make a right turn on Harper and then a left turn right away on Bainbridge Rd. at the light. Follow Bainbridge just past Kruse Dr. and the Rollhouse will be on your left. If you are coming from the other direction, take SOM Center to Solon Rd. and make a right on Kruse Dr. Follow Kruse around to Bainbridge Rd. and make a left. Rollhouse will be on your left. **There is also a closure further down on SOM Center near the schools with traffic only flowing North currently so avoid that area unless you are traveling that direction.
2. Saturday evening for our main event at Bertram Inn “Annex” building from 6:30 to 11:00 pm.
Here are more details about the Saturday event:
- The reunion is at the Bertram Inn located at 600 N Aurora Road in Aurora, Ohio.
- Look for signage saying “Class Reunion” as you pull into the driveway. There will be an arrow directing you to the Annex Building parking lot on the east side of the hotel.
- Attire is dressy-casual.
- We will be serving appetizers, a buffet dinner including 2 salad choices, entree choices of a beef, chicken and fish, a vegetable, pasta, potatoes and dessert options.
- Non-alcoholic drinks are included, along with a cash bar option.
* To check-in and get your name badges, look for the check-in table in the entryway and get into the correct line, alphabetically by your last name as it was listed in the Caldron. The first line is A-F, 2nd is G-O and 3rd is P-Z. Guests’ badges will be located with their classmates’ badges. If you ordered a special meal, you will also receive a note clipped to your badge with instructions to locate “Kelly” who will get your meal for you.
3. Sunday at Cleveland Hts. High School - Itinerary for the morning:
The tour day will begin at 10:00 am with a Continental breakfast in the cafeteria. Next we will tour the school, meet up in the auditorium for a Class of ’75 “In Memory” video presentation, and lastly gather on the front steps for a class photo by 12:00 pm.
Parking & Arrival for Tour:
1. Guests should arrive just before 10 a.m. and use the new “student” entrance off of the parking lot. This student entrance is on the east side of the building facing Goodnor Road and the baseball field. The old "main entrance" that faces Cedar Road will not be open.
2. Guests may park in the parking lot on the east (baseball field) side of the building, if there is space. If that lot is full, you could try to find street parking on Washington Boulevard. You could also park on the west (football field) side of the building, but those doors will not be open on that side, so you would need to walk along Washington Blvd. to reach the student entrance on the east side to enter.
